Great North (Dinosaur) Run

Andy Sharpe (pictured) is running this year’s Great North Run in his dinosaur outfit. Please give him all the support you can.

sees thousands of runners take on the half marathon challenge every year. Starting in Newcastle upon Tyne, the 13.1 mile course is lined with supporters all the way from the iconic Tyne Bridge, right out towards the coast in South Shields.

We’ve no idea how long Andy will take inside his humongous dinosaur outfit and we hope he’s not extinct before the end.  But for sure he’ll raise so many donations he’ll put a smile on  many children’s faces – Good Luck Andy

There’s only 20 days until the dinosaur participates in the 2017 Great North Run on behalf of Tanyel’s Smile. After surpassing the £25,000 fundraising mark for Clic Sargent (including Gift Aid), Andy has now switched all of his fundraising commitments to supporting Tanyel’s Smile.  As Andy said, “It’s been an incredible honour getting to know Tanyel’s parents during the past year, who sadly lost their beautiful daughter to Cancer in 2016. One of Tanyel’s final wishes was for a charity to be set up to help children and their families in Northern Cyprus through the trauma of Cancer.  I’m delighted to be able to help”.
