We have now reached and smashed our total fundraising target of £10,000 with the total now raised at a massive £13,000.
At the end of our celebrations Gulay announced our 2nd cycle event destination for 2019, which will be Bruges in Belgian, when we will be hoping to double our cycle team for Tanyel’s Smile.
Thanks again everyone.

Thank You Yana

Yana Smith 22 yrs old her gymnastics friend decided to shave her hair off for Tanyel’s smile . We can’t explain how proud we are of her to take this on….
I honestly cannot put into words how touched I am by all your amazing kind words and generous donations! I started this fundraiser thinking I would struggle to meet £200, and you smashed it in less than 24 hours! Today we hit £500 and I’m bald as ??
Tanyel was such a big part of my life as a child, and she should still be here today spreading love and kindness like she always did, but luckily her beautiful parents Gulay and Ceyhun continue to do this with their charity in her memory,
Tanyel’s Smile, which is where your donations are headed! I’m honestly so overwhelmed and promise I’m not having a quarter life crisis, a bit of hair < the lives of children suffering from cancer and their mums, dads, sisters and brothers ? thank you all so much again xxx

Berlin Marathon

This week Cey completed the BMW Berlin Marathon in memory Tanyel’s Smile and raised about £200.  A big thank you to everyone who provided sponsorship.  It was very hot weather but an awesome race.  As you probably know the world record was broken by Eliud Kipchoge (he finished a little ahead of Cey).
Cey’s next marathon will be Athens on the 11th November 2018.  Any support you can offer will be gratefully received,
Thank you

Supporting DKMSD, Supporting Everyone

Feeling excited…..
Yesterday we had a fantastic day meeting up with the lovely Lisa and her colleague at (see below) to talk about how they’d be happy to help us register the kids we work with in Northern Cyprus. We will also support them as much as we can. So what better way to start.
Jay & myself are now both registered to be a potential blood stem cell donor.
Best wishes
DKMS is an international nonprofit organization, founded 27 years ago in Germany by Dr. Peter Harf when he lost his wife Mechtild to leukemia. Peter promised her that he would help every blood cancer patient find a matching donor. At that time, there were only 3,000 potential stem cell donors available to provide a transplant in Germany and within one year of founding DKMS, the number of stem cell donors increased to 68,000. Today, DKMS has offices in Germany, the United States (opened 2004), Poland (2009), and the UK (2013) and has registered over 8 million potential donors worldwide.

A New World Record

Not only did Sunday see the hottest London Marathon ever, it also saw the CLIC Sargent team again break the world record for the fastest finish by a team of 6 in a single fancy dress.  The team, which included Tanyel’s dad Cey completed the 26 mile course is soaring temperatures dressed as Ghostbusters  “driving” the Ghostbusters car (pictured).

Congratulations from all at Tanyel’s Smile.  It was a great performance.  We’re all extremely proud of you.
